Roy’s Boys, in person and in print

If you’ve been following our Facebook page or the Twitter, you might have heard about a printed collection of Roy’s Boys.  Well, consider them printed.  The books collect the first twenty weeks of the comic, minus the guest strip Strap-On.  In addition to the comics you’ve read, and perhaps loved, there’s a surprise forward and a little bit of original art for both the front and back covers – Roy up front, with me handling the rear.

The collection is debuting this weekend at the Emerald City Comic-Con in Seattle.  Roy will be exhibiting, along with his co-workers from Periscope Studio, at Table 122 – supposedly it’s a big table, you can’t miss ‘em.  The collection will set you back $3, and with any purchase – Roy’s Boys or not – you get one of our slick buttons.  The show runs tomorrow (Friday) through Sunday, be sure to drop by, say hi and cop a book.

If you can’t make it up to Seattle, fear not.  April 16th-17th, the both of us will be setting up shop at Stumptown Comics Fest right here in Portland, OR.  We’ll have books, buttons, and our own personal wares, and god knows what else for sale.  According to the Stumptown website you’ll be able to find us at Table…. no, wait, they haven’t announced those yet.  We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we know.

Before I wrap this up, a couple odds and ends.  Prolonged Contact, Episode 5 should be coming out next Wednesday.  We apologize again for the delay but con preparation took precedence and we’ve both been rather slammed recently in non-Roy’s Boys activities.  Rather than shoe horn it in this week we decided to record next week so Roy can chat about his experience at Emerald City.

And finally, you might notice a few new bells and whistles on the site.  We now have a Facebook box on the right sidebar that links directly to our Facebook page, which you can easily ‘Like’ if you so desire.  Additionally, every individual comic can now be ‘Liked’ via the button in each accompanying post, and we have a social media bar, should you care to share the comic with friends, family, neighbors, etc.  Last, but certainly not least, we have an Appearances block on the left sidebar, relaying the next Roy’s Boys face time.

Phew, I think that wraps it up.

Thanks for reading!

Stumptown Comics Fest

This weekend Roy and I will be setting up shop at the Stumptown Comics Fest, here in occasionally beautiful Portland, OR.  Roy will have his standard fair, including dozens of fancy full color prints, and perhaps a few other comic projects he’s worked on.  I’ll be packing my library of mini comics, buttons and even a silly poster.  Oh yeah, we’ll also be selling copies of Roy’s Boys: the First-Twenty Weeks, for $3 a pop.  We’ll be at table B-25 (pictured in the handy map below)!

The festival is located at the Oregon Convention Center, and is open Saturday, 10-6pm and Sunday, 12-6pm.  You can buy tickets online or at the door.  Both day passes and weekend passes are available.

So if you’re in the area swing by and say hello.  And be sure to check out all of the other awesome comics and creators on display; it’s a really great show, promise.
