It’s not common to see people with Yankees’ caps in Portland, and frankly, it’s pretty rare to see people with any sort of ball cap period; this simply isn’t a baseball town. So, imagine my surprise when I run into one of the half-dozen Yankees fans who call Portland home, merely one hour following the first no hitter in New York Mets history. I knew in the deepest recesses of my soul that he was put there to remind of centuries of New York Yankees history and majesty.
